Egypt Daylight Saving Time 2014

The government of Egypt has announced that it will observe DST in 2014, and has released its DST Transitions for the Holy Month Ramadan.

The daylight saving time start on midnight of May 15th at exactly 11:59:59 PM, without applying the fix your users will face problems with Active Directory and Exchange Servers besides having their calendars off by one hour.

During this time, clocks will be turned back to standard time. This interruption in the DST schedule is designed to shorten the evening hours, making it easier for Muslims to observe the Ramadan fast during hours of daylight.

To avoid this you need to apply the fix provided by Microsoft using Microsoft SCCM or a Startup group Policy.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2967990

Instead of ending DST on 30th September, DST was suspended during Ramadan and then re-enabled again in September. The transition dates are:

1

Make Sure Make sure that you have the latest Windows Cumulative Update for your time zone and DST installed before running this fix-it solution. To find the latest update: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2904266

Please note that All Microsoft Outlook calendar entries for meetings and appointments between the 15th of May and 27th of June, 2014 will be shifted by 1 hour. This will happen because the previous DST settings were in place during adding these calendar
entries (previous DST settings are currently inapplicable). It is recommended that  you recheck all calendar entries for the above mentioned period.

NetXtreme II Latest announcement from QLogic for HP

QLogic announcements has selected  HP's latest Virtual Connect FlexFabric Solution as a key enabler of the industry's first 20Gb Ethernet connectivity. QLogic NetXtreme II Ethernet controllers are at the core of HP's latest Virtual Connect FlexFabric adapters and deliver the industry's highest performing Ethernet, Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) and iSCSI connectivity available. This announcement represents the first new product and technology arising from QLogic's recently acquired Broadcom Ethernet assets. QLogic Fibre Channel switching technology is embedded in HP's latest Virtual Connect FlexFabric modules, which also support FCoE and iSCSI traffic. The combination of leading QLogic technologies in the HP FlexFabric architecture creates a high-performance, 20Gb Ethernet fabric ideal for data center convergence and virtualization.

QLogic's NetXtreme II Ethernet controllers enable the HP FlexFabric 20Gb 2-port 630FLB Adapter and the HP FlexFabric 20Gb 2-port 630M Adapter. These adapters provide 10Gb or 20Gb Converged Ethernet connectivity to HP BladeSystem servers. Leveraging HP's Flex-20 technology, these new adapters efficiently deliver twice the bandwidth of a 10Gb port, while reducing the management overhead associated with multiple 10Gb adapters. Both adapters offload FCoE and iSCSI traffic, eliminating software overhead and reducing CPU cycles for improved performance, while simplifying server-to-networked storage connectivity.

QLogic switching technology enables the new HP Virtual Connect FlexFabric-20/40 F8 Module for c-Class BladeSystem. The new module more than doubles the throughput of previous generations with 20Gb downlinks and provides eight flex ports that can be dynamically configured to support Ethernet, Fibre Channel, iSCSI or FCoE. QLogic's flex ports enable HP's Virtual Connect wire-once technology to deliver the simplest method to connect servers and storage to the network, while new 40GbE uplinks in the FlexFabric-20/40 F8 module speed traffic from server-to-core.

Things not to be said at work

shut Your Actual Words are your chance to lead and success. things you say in office, things you tell family members, how you communicate over the phone,…….. etc.No matter how innocent you are, No matter how innocent these words seems to look like, but it might be a strike in the face of whom you are talking to, it may be knocking your career, and put in in the bottom of the ladder of your career path. and Make your Dream Fly away.

1. “That’s not in my job description.”

When you accepted your current position, you had a good idea of what the responsibilities and workload of the role would entail. Throughout the months or years since you settled into your job, however, your role has expanded and changed shape. Some of these changes have probably been good, while others have made you wish for simpler times.

The better option, however, is to schedule a time to talk to your boss about your role. A specific conversation about your place in the organization is a good time to bring up the particulars of your job description, not when you’re asked to get something accomplished. .

2. “It can’t be done.”

Throwing in the towel makes you look like a quitter -- and quitters don’t get promoted. Instead of giving up on a project entirely, frame your response in terms of alternative ways to get the work accomplished. Very little is truly impossible, and most managers and executives want forward-thinking problem solvers to climb the corporate ladder. If you offer solutions instead of giving up, you’ll be seen as a valuable member of the team.watch me

3. “It’s not my fault.”

No one wants to work with a blame shifter. After all, it’s just a matter of time before this person eventually shifts the blame onto you. Take ownership of your mistakes instead of pointing out where others have fallen short. Admitting to a mistake shows character and the ability to learn and grow from problems. Pointing the finger at someone else strongly implies you’ll never truly learn from your errors.

4. “This will just take a minute.”

Unless something will literally take only 60 seconds, don’t overpromise and underdeliver. Saying something will only take “a minute” also has the side effect of undermining your efforts. Most likely the reason the particular task won’t take long is due to the benefit of your professional experience and acumen. By saying it will “just” take a minute, you're shortchanging what you bring to the table.

5. “I don’t need any help.”

Being the only one will never help, You might think you can go it alone on a project or in your career, but teamwork is essential. Being able to work with others is the hallmark of a good leader; you’re unlikely to climb your career ladder always flying solo.

6. “It’s not fair.”

Life isn’t fair, and often your career won’t be as well. Instead of complaining, you should look for specific and actionable workarounds to the problems you encounter. Is it unfair a coworker got to run point on the project you wanted? Maybe, but instead of complaining, work harder and go the extra mile. Finding a solution will always be preferable in your professional life to whining about a problem.

7. “This is the way it’s always been done.”lets get

Doing things the way they’ve always been done is no way to run a business. Thinking out of the box is the innovative leading shifter to your life, Adapting to an ever-changing marketplace is really the only way to survive in your career, business and life

You don’t have to be a slave to the trends, but you also can’t stick your head in the sand and hope things go back to normal. Be innovative, find new solutions, create new opportunities, and at the end and the beginning of everything think Positive.

Thinking Positive is the Key Change of everything, the ladder for innovation, creation and penetrate your future

HP Intelligent Provisioning ….. is it Intelligent enough?

Yeah…. HPIP is intelligent, but intelligent to a certain limit, it is intelligent to the programmed info., to the latest information about OS version, to the latest firmware version, but the question is which version and which level.

Simply the answer would be the latest version or level that was added to HPIP at the date of release ………… :)

I had an issue a couple of days ago, and i tried to find a solution for it, but i found lots of IT stuff facing the same issue, so i decided to do it the hard way, let me give you a sample from what i read:

On IT guy wrote (NOT SO) Intelligent Provisioning

I'm trying to configure a new DL380 Gen 8 server with Intelligent Provisioning.  With it, I'm trying to install the vSphere 5.5 custom image that the HP site directed me to download.  Following what instructions I could find, it says to start IP, go to the OS install options, I choose ESXi/vSphere custom on a USB drive.  On the next page I can open the USB drive and I see the ISO file.  It says you should be able to double-click it and it should allow you to go to the next page to continue the install.  In this case, it just acts like it is reading the image, but does not show me the continue button to go to the next page.  I'm then just stuck at that page and can't go forward.

Before this, I had already downloaded and run the SPP for the server upgrading some firmware.  I also tried to create a bootable USB drive and install it the old fashioned way.  In that case it just gives me an error about the menu and doesn't go any further.

Am I doing something wrong or missing a step?

Simply i had the same issue, and the solution was simply digging for the latest version of the HPIP, which was HPIP 1.6, where you can find at:

http://h17007.www1.hp.com/us/en/enterprise/servers/management/ilo/index.aspx#tab=TAB5

it will simply update the Flash drive part that is attached to the iLo4, and will be ready for data available on the OS you are going to install.
